Greeings of The Season to You and Yours...

Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for visiting my site.
How is it December already? I know people say that every year but this last 12 months has flown by. It's been a good year, and I've continued to enjoy my job at The Leicester Mercury and the variety of assignments it offers, and my own private freelance work has gone from strength to strength. Some highlights were the Royal Maundy work I did for Leicester Cathedral which culminated in a souvenir book of my images, a gallery in the cathedral featuring my work, plus a very successful launch of my sales website at Smugmug. Other highlights were several events across the country with British Wheelchair Basketball, an action-packed week in Shoreditch with Channel 4 in November and a number of shoots with my good friends The Vegan Cakery. As well as my very important regular clients I've also enjoyed working with new ones in the last few months so really looking forward to working with them in 2018.

You may remember that I wrote my Christmas message from Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry last year, where I'd just just had a back operation. Incredibly, to celebrate the anniversary of that, I was scheduled to go back into hospital this week for another one. I'm in the unlucky 12% who have recurring problems after a discectomy, so hoping it'll work better this time. Unfortunately the op was cancelled due to the severe weather in the Midlands, so I'm now waiting for another date. I am therefore still available for work, for now, so please feel free to contact me and I'll happily take bookings and should it clash with a rescheduled operation, I'll happily arrange for a colleague to do any work on my behalf.

Please visit Flickr to see a selection of my work from 2017.

Have a good one, all the best to you and yours and I hope to see you in 2018.
